On August 9th Ricky and Lindsay Lewis began serving part-time as Minister's to Children. Ricky works during the week as a coach in the athletic department at Calvary Christian School. Ricky and Lindsay have three children with another due in December. They bring new enthusiasm and excitement to the 1st through 5th grade children's ministries at Calvary. Both are outstanding vocalists and are active in Calvary's music ministries.

Ricky and Lindsay have changed the Sunday School a little. They have begun meeting with all of the children from 9:45 to 10:00 for large group activities. Individual grade classes meet from 10:00 to 10:30. All of the children return to large group at 10:30 till 10:50 for music time. Children's Church still meets during the 11:00 worship service but will be conducted as a Children's worship with occassional appearances in "big church."

A Back To School Bash is planned for children and their families on August 30th from 12:30 to 2:30. Families will enjoy lunch followed by "field day" type games in the Student Center.

On August 16th Cory Veuleman began serving part-time as Minister to College Age Adults. Cory and Amber were members of Calvary before taking a Summer position as Student Minister with Piney Grove Baptist Church. Their return means that we all get to enjoy again the musical talents of Amber. She is an outstanding soloist.

During the week Cory serves as a Campus Minister Intern for Georgia Baptist Collegiate Ministries at Columbus State University.

Cory has begun a College Age Sunday School Class and taken over responsibilities of the Wednesday evening College Bible Study. Our Student Minister, Ricky Smith, begin laying the groundwork for a college ministry at Calvary over a year ago. Cory's arrival will enable the ministry to expand. He will be taking college students to the Georgia Baptist Collegiate Conference "CONFLUENCE" September 18 to 20.
