Children have many opportunities at Calvary to connect with others their age.  The children's department includes grades 1 through 5. Our Children's ministries, called ALL STAR KIDS, under the direction of Ricky and Lindsay Lewis, provides an environment for an enjoyable church experience.

Sunday School is an excellent place to begin connecting. Classes are provided for each grade. Lifeway materials are used to provide Bible Study and Bible activities designed to give age appropriate indoctrination in our Christian beliefs about God, salvation, and Christian living.

Children's worship is available during the 11:00 Worship Service for children in grades 1 through 3. We believe children in grades 4 through 5 are old enough to participate in the main worship service. Children's worship is designed to provide a worship experience on the child's level to insure that the hour is a positive learning hour for them.

AWANA clubs meet from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. every Wednesday evening. Cubbies is for 3 and 4 year olds. Sparks is the club for children in kindergarten through 2nd grade. The third through sixth grade girls and boys club is named Truth and Training. Each club uses Bible-centered handbooks and special activities to help children gain a solid understanding of the basics ofChristianity.

Periodic Activities scheduled throughout the year provide opportunities for fun and times for children to learn more about each other. 

Children's Camp is a wonderful week, Monday through Thursday, for children grades 3 through 6. Shocco Springs Baptist Assembly provides great outdoor fun as well as amazing kid's worship and Bible study. Camp fees are usually around $200. Some years a Music Camp is offered in lieu of camp at Shocco. (See the church calendar and News for times and dates.)

Music Camp is offered some years in place of Children's Camp. This is usually held on our campus, Monday through Friday, 9 am to 12 am, and includes recreation, crafts, drama, choreography and music. The week concludes with a music performance for parents on Friday night. 

Vacation Bible School is always a special week at Calvary. A whole lot of preparation is spent decorating the church for the school theme and getting ready for all of the activities which take place during this three hours per day, Monday through Friday. Though it is sometimes difficult to find enough workers for a daytime school, we find that the morning hours are the best for children and families.
