We must send believers to preach so that they may hear and some may believe and call on the name of the Lord and be saved! The Great Commission is not an EITHER/OR option, but a BOTH/AND command. From cover to cover, the Bible teaches that all the church – not just select individuals, but all the church is created to reflect all the glory of God to all the world. We are all commanded and commissioned to make disciples of all nations. Each of us must Pray and Give and GO.
Pray
“I urge you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to join me in my struggle by praying to God for me.” — Romans 15:30
Prayer is essential to the accomplishment of the mission of making disciples of all nations. John Piper said “Prayer is primarily a wartime walkie-talkie for the mission of the church as it advances against the powers of darkness and unbelief. It is not surprising that prayer malfunctions when we try to make it a domestic intercom to call upstairs for more comforts in the den…Until you know that life is war, you cannot know what prayer is for: Prayer is for the accomplishment of a wartime mission.” Calvary Baptist Church would like all of our members that cannot physically go on a mission trip to pray diligently for those that can and do.
Give
Many Calvary Baptist Church mission team members would not be able to go to the nations without the help of generous contributions from people like you. At this time we are only accepting contributions for team members via check.
Please make your check payable to Calvary Baptist Church. Include a notation in the memo line that states “appealed by [team member's name]” and the trip dates and location.
Go
Go on a Short-Term Trip. Pick a location/date and sign up. Contact a church staff member for information on participating in a short-term missions trip.
